Theater Surround
A 7.1.2 (Atmos-Enabled) system
Speaker Definitions
Front | Placed to the left and right of your screen or TV. They handle most of the music, sound effects, and action.
Center | Placed in line with your screen or TV, typically directly below. It is dedicated to voices and dialogue.
Surround | Placed to the sides or behind you. They create the immersive feeling of sound moving around the room.
Rear Surround | Placed directly behind you. Typically used in larger or more advanced setups for deeper surround effects.
Overhead (Height) | Placed in or near the ceiling. They add a sense o fheight to the sound--like a plane overhead.
Subwoofer | Large, floor or in-wall mounted speaker that produces deep bass, like explosions or rumbling. They are felt as much as heard.
Atmos | Specially designed to project sound both forward and upward. Bouncing sound off the ceiling to allow sound to move in all directions around you.
