5.1.2

Classic Surround
A 5.1.2 (Atmos-Enabled) system consists of three front speakers (left, right, center), two (rear or side) surround speakers, and a subwoofer. The two (left/right) front speakers are Atmos-enabled speakers containing upward-firing drivers that handle both traditional and height effects, bouncing sound off the ceiling to create the perception of height without the need for ceiling installation.
This format is ideal for rooms without ceiling speaker access, offering immersive height-based audio without additional installation complexity.
Speaker Definitions
Front | Placed to the left and right of your screen or TV. They handle most of the music, sound effects, and action.
Center | Placed in line with your screen or TV, typically directly below. It is dedicated to voices and dialogue.
Surround | Placed to the sides or behind you. They create the immersive feeling of sound moving around the room.
Rear Surround | Placed directly behind you. Typically used in larger or more advanced setups for deeper surround effects.
Overhead (Height) | Placed in or near the ceiling. They add a sense o fheight to the sound--like a plane overhead.
Subwoofer | Large, floor or in-wall mounted speaker that produces deep bass, like explosions or rumbling. They are felt as much as heard.
Atmos | Specially designed to project sound both forward and upward. Bouncing sound off the ceiling to allow sound to move in all directions around you.
